    28 years with electrical steels at Armco / AK Steel / Cliffs. Former General Manager at Butler and Zanesville plants. Developer of the M3 product line. Former GM for AK Steel International Sales. Consulted with Big River Steel on GO/NGO development.

  • Denny Wist has 28 years experience with electrical steels at Armco/AK Steel/Cliffs. He started as a metallurgist and had executive positions in manufacturing, quality, marketing, product development and product brand leadership. He was General Manager of both the Butler and Zanesville plants at AK Steel. He was the developer of the M3 product that is the mainstay for Cliffs sales. His last position at AK Steel was the General Manager for International Sales selling GO around the world. More recently, consulted with Big River Steel on their development of non-grain oriented and grain-oriented steel projects.

    45 years with electrical steels at Armco / AK Steel, Nucor and Big River Steel. Led capital investment to convert NGO to GO capacity at Zanesville (2006–07). Directed first new NGO finishing facility in North America in 40+ years at Big River Steel. Holds 3 electrical steel patents.

  • Ted Hill has 45 years experience with electrical steels in management and consulting positions, at Armco/AK Steel (Cliffs), Nucor and Big River Steel (US Steel). He started as a metallurgist and had management positions in product development, processing, quality, product brand management, and project management. At AK Steel Zanesville, he led the capital investment effort in 2006-07 to convert non-grain oriented capacity over to additional grain-oriented capacity. At Big River Steel, he led a startup for motor lamination steels and directed efforts for the first new non-grain oriented finishing facility in North American in over 40 years. He holds three electrical steel patents.

  • Kevin Kemper is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience at the intersection of advanced materials, manufacturing, and project finance. He is a Founder and CEO of BeeMetal Corp, where he led the development, patent protection and commercial testing of a breakthrough metal powder production process that achieved a 10x improvement in efficiency over traditional methods. BeeMetal’s subsidiary, KBM Advanced Materials, established a first-of-its-kind just-in-time e-commerce platform for delivering metal powders to additive manufacturers, streamlining the supply chain for 3D printing companies nationwide. Prior to founding BeeMetal, Kevin was Vice President at Grand River Ironsands, where he led technical and permitting efforts for a novel pig iron production process, advancing the project through feasibility and regulatory approval. Earlier in his career, Kevin was a Vice President in the Metals and Natural Resources Group at Rothschild, where he advised on M&A and structured project finance transactions across the industrials and energy sectors.

    25+ years across US, Canada and Europe in integrated and mini-mills. Experienced in melting, hot rolling, casting, cold rolling and annealing. Team member on 3 new steel facility startups in US and Europe.

  • Our COO is a steel executive with a wide range of skills and experience. He has over 25 years with several steel companies in the US, Canada and Europe. He has worked with both integrated and mini-mills. His background includes operations (melting, hot rolling casting coking, cold rolling and annealing), engineering and product development. He was on the team that designed, built and started up three new steel facilities in the US and Europe.
